This article is for CONTENT OWNERS.

Once you've prepared your files and compiled your metadata, you should be ready to deliver your content and start selling via Snapplify.

You can deliver your content and metadata to Snapplify in two ways:

  1. SFTP content upload
  2. CoreSource channel integration

Secure delivery via SFTP

Uploading your content via SFTP (Secure File Transfer Protocol) this ensures its security.

Metadata (XML and CSV files), assets (ePUB and ePDF files) and jacket images (JPG files) must be uploaded to Snapplify via SFTP.

SFTP details will be supplied by Snapplify. If you have not yet received these please contact distribution@snapplify.com.

ElementExample
Hostnameincoming.snapplify.com
Username(your unique username)
Password(your unique password)
Port22 (the port required for SFTP)

  • Example: /20140223_1623.xml /assets/9780801448157.pdf
/images/9780801448157.jpg Jacket images are optional. If you are submitting either an ePUB or ePDF file that contains a cover image, then it will automatically be located and displayed as the jacket image of your asset. If you are processing a format other than ePDF or ePUB, or if your asset does not contain a cover image, then jacket images are required. Only one jacket image should be uploaded per asset.

Using SFTP to transfer files

Use an application that supports SFTP.  We recommend FileZilla Client, a fast and reliable cross-platform FTP, FTPS and SFTP client with lots of useful features and an intuitive graphical user interface.

Integrated content delivery via CoreSource

You can also deliver your content to Snapplify by setting up a direct delivery channel using CoreSource:

  1. Email your standard Channel Setup Form to distribution@snapplify.com.
  2. One of our team members will complete the form and return it to you.
  3. You can then liaise with your CoreSource representative to set up the channel.
